What personal data we collect when you enquire about corporate gifting, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
The short version
- We only receive your personal data if you choose to send it — through a quote form, the quote pop-up or the chat box on this site.
- We ask for your name and mobile number. Every other field is optional.
- We use it for one purpose: to prepare and follow up a gifting quotation for you.
- We do not sell your data, and we run no advertising or retargeting pixels on this site.
- No cookies are set until you accept analytics cookies in the banner. Decline it or ignore it and no cookie is written, though Google still receives one cookieless request.
- You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time — by email or phone.
Section 1
Who we are
Corporate Gifting Mumbai ("we", "us", "our") runs this website at corporategiftingmumbai.in and provides business-to-business corporate gifting services across Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Panvel.
For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), Corporate Gifting Mumbai is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this notice. That means we decide why and how your data is handled, and we are answerable to you for it. If you have sent us an enquiry, you are a Data Principal.
Phone / WhatsApp
+91 93093 80958Email and phone are the contact routes for every request in this notice. You can also use the form on our contact page, but please mark it clearly as a privacy request so it reaches the right person.
Section 2
What we collect, and why
We collect personal data at three points on this site. All three are optional and start with you — nothing is collected if you simply read the pages.
- The quote dialog that opens when you click a "Get a quote" or "Request proposal" button.
- Inline enquiry forms placed within pages, including the contact page.
- The on-site chat box. To be plain about what this is: it is a scripted conversational form — a fixed set of questions in a chat-style layout. It is not an AI, it does not learn from what you type, and it does not build a profile of you. It collects the same fields as the forms.
The itemised list
| Personal data | Required? | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Your name | Required | To address you correctly and to identify your enquiry. |
| Mobile number | Required | To call or WhatsApp you about your quotation. |
| Work email address | Optional | To send the written quotation and any mock-ups. |
| Company name | Optional | To prepare a proposal and, later, a GST invoice if you order. |
| Delivery city | Optional | To check serviceability and quote delivery correctly. |
| Quantity and budget | Optional | To suggest gift options and price slabs that actually fit. |
| Your free-text requirement | Optional | Occasion, delivery date, branding and preferences you choose to tell us. |
| The page your enquiry came from | Sent with your submission | So the consultant who replies knows which product or city page you were looking at. |
The specified purpose
We use the data above for one specified purpose: to prepare, send and follow up a corporate gifting quotation, and to fulfil any order that follows from it. That includes replying by phone, WhatsApp or email, checking stock and delivery feasibility, sharing samples or mock-ups, and keeping a record of the enquiry.
We do not use it for anything unrelated. We do not profile you, we take no automated decision about you, and we do not add you to unrelated marketing lists.
What this site does not do: there is no payment on this website, so no card or bank details are ever collected here. There is no account and no login, so there is no password. We do not collect government identity numbers through this site, and we run no advertising or retargeting pixel.
Section 3
Your consent and how to withdraw it
Our lawful basis for processing the data in Section 2 is your consent, given by a clear affirmative action: you fill in the fields and press send. Nothing is pre-ticked, and we do not treat silence, or merely browsing the site, as consent.
That consent is meant to be free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous. It is limited to the purpose set out in Section 2 and nothing beyond it, and we do not require you to agree to any unrelated processing as a condition of getting a quotation.
Withdrawing your consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give. Email [email protected] or call +91 93093 80958 and say you are withdrawing consent. One line is enough — you do not have to give a reason or fill in any form.
What happens next: we stop processing your data for the gifting purpose and erase it, and we instruct our processor to do the same, unless a law requires us to retain a specific record (see Section 6). The practical consequence is simply that we can no longer progress your enquiry — we will not be able to send or revise your quotation, chase a sample, or contact you about an open order. Withdrawal does not undo processing that already lawfully took place before you withdrew.
Section 6
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was given for, or as long as a law requires us to keep it — and then we erase it.
Enquiries that do not become orders
Erased within 12 months of our last contact with you about that enquiry.
Enquiries that become orders
Kept for the duration of the business relationship, then erased within 24 months of your last order — except for records a law requires us to keep.
Records required by law
Where tax, GST or company law requires a transaction record to be retained for a longer statutory period, we keep only that record, only for that period, and only for that legal purpose.
If you withdraw consent or ask for erasure before these periods are up, we act on your request rather than waiting for the clock to run out.
Section 7
Your rights as a Data Principal
Under the DPDP Act you have the following rights over the personal data you have given us. They are free to exercise, and exercising them is never held against you.
Right to access a summary
Ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, what we are doing with it, and the processors and other parties it has been shared with.
Right to correction and completion
If anything we hold is wrong, incomplete or out of date — a changed number, a misspelt name, a new company — tell us and we will correct, complete or update it, and pass the correction to our processor.
Right to erasure
Ask us to delete your personal data. We will erase it unless a specific law requires us to keep a particular record (Section 6) — and we will tell you if that is the case.
Right to nominate
Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to act. Send us the nominee's name and contact details in writing and we will record the nomination.
Right to grievance redressal
Raise a complaint with us about how we have handled your data or your request, and have it answered — see Section 9. This route comes before approaching the Data Protection Board.
Right to withdraw consent
Withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, with the consequences explained in Section 3.
The DPDP Act also asks something of you in return: please give us accurate and complete information, do not impersonate anyone else, and do not file a frivolous or false complaint.
Section 8
How to make a request
There is no form to fill in. Contact us by either route and tell us what you want:
Please include the mobile number or email address you used when you enquired, so we can find the right record. We may ask one or two questions to confirm the data is really yours before we act — that protects you, not us. We will not ask for identity documents, and we will never ask for a password or a payment detail.
Our response times
- We acknowledge every privacy request within 7 working days.
- We complete it within 30 days of receiving it.
- If a request is unusually complex and will take longer, we tell you why and give you a date — and in no case do we take more than 90 days.
- A consent withdrawal is acted on as soon as we read it, and in any case within 7 working days.
Section 9
Grievance redressal
We have appointed a Grievance Officer, who is responsible for answering questions and complaints about how we handle personal data and for making sure the requests in Section 7 are actually carried out. The role — not any one individual — is the point of accountability, so your complaint is answered even if the person in the role changes.
Contact the Grievance Officer
Write to [email protected] with "Grievance Officer" in the subject line, or call +91 93093 80958 and ask to be put through to the Grievance Officer. Please describe what happened and what you would like us to do.
If you are not satisfied
If we do not respond within the timelines in Section 8, or you are unhappy with our answer, you may escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India — the authority established under the DPDP Act — in the manner the Board prescribes. Under the Act, raising the matter with us first is a required step, so please give us the chance to put it right.
Section 10
Security and data breaches
We take reasonable security safeguards to protect the personal data we hold against loss, unauthorised access and unauthorised disclosure. In practical terms: enquiry data is transmitted over a secure connection; access to enquiry records is limited to the people who need it to prepare and deliver your quotation; we collect only the small set of fields in Section 2 and no more; we erase data on the schedule in Section 6; and we require our processors to handle data only on our instructions.
We would rather be accurate than impressive here, so we do not claim certifications, audits or technical controls we cannot evidence. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.
If a breach does happen
The DPDP Act requires us to report a personal data breach, and we will. We will notify the Data Protection Board of India and every affected person without delay, in the form and manner the Act and its rules require — telling you what happened, what data was involved, what we are doing about it and what you can do to protect yourself.
Section 11
Children
This is a business-to-business service. Our website and our enquiry forms are directed at business contacts — procurement, HR, admin and marketing teams — and not at children.
We do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18 years of age, and we carry out no tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children. If we become aware that we have received a child's personal data, we will erase it. If you believe a child has sent us their details, please tell us at [email protected] and we will act on it.
Section 12
Changes to this notice
If what we do with personal data changes, we will update this notice and change the "last updated" date at the top and bottom of the page. Where a change materially affects the purpose you consented to, we will ask for your consent again rather than rely on the old one.
This notice was last updated on 21 October 2026.
This page is an information notice about our own practices, not legal advice; Corporate Gifting Mumbai should have it reviewed by its own counsel before relying on it.
